This fellowship involves working closely with strategic partners across Leeds to develop and test the feasibility of enabling tech sector businesses to share their technical skills with Voluntary Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) organisations and communities through volunteering. Building on the preparatory work of Leeds Digital Volunteering Partnership, the Fellow will reference a wider city policy dialogue around achieving greater Social Value from progressive organisations and will undertake service design consultation with businesses and not-for-profits, for a robust framework for brokering new relationships. The Fellow will explore tech resources to efficiently broker relationships and the people/resources required to sustain the offer, generating a costed business plan for the further development of the work, that could be scaled to include other business sectors.
Leeds Digital Volunteering
Voluntary Action Leeds (VAL) is an infrastructure organisation – what used to be known as a ‘council for voluntary service’. Our work enables voluntary and community groups and organisations to do their work well and supports people to volunteer. We want communities across the city to thrive and we work with volunteers, groups and organisations to make this happen.
