Working with and through Local Infrastructure Organisations (LIOs – place-based support organisations that enable the wider VCSE) this fellowship will identify the key ethical, policy and practice challenges small VCSE organisations experience in making effective use of AI. The fellowship will co-design with LIOs a suite of tools to enable non-digital specialist VCSE development workers to provide onward introductory support to small VCSE organisations to use AI safely and effectively.
The project will enable small VCSE organisations to:
- Interrogate and improve their information governance policy and practice
- Enable small VCSE organisations to use AI safely and effectively
- Support NAVCA members deliver an aspect of their purpose – capacity building for VCSE organisations
- Mitigate some of the risks of data breaches in the VCSE sector
- Establish NAVCA, the fellow and INCLUDE+ as thought leaders in the field of AI use in the small VCSE sector
